Reservoir pipe fitment and adjustment (non servo)

  1. Been bleeding brakes and the pipe from upper to lower reservoir is past its best, stopped the slight leak but cant find the pipe anywhere online (sorry no pics). I have replaced servo and fitted everything back as it was. The original pipe is approx 150mm long and the outlet on the lower is rear facing. All the ones seem to be 610mm long when I started brakes @snotty said he had used washer pipe but dont want it to fail. Apart from that the pedal has always had a long travel but can I alter this easily (10mm piston rod to pedal) ?

  2. Is it the pipe or the rubber bungs at each end that have had it?.
I used some pipe that a mate at fords said was good for brake fluid. Just epdm. It’s low pressure so don’t have to worry about pressure collapsing it.

Or Vw heritage do the rubber bungs for the end. I did do a thread about mine recently.

    :)

  3. There’s no pressure in the pipe joining the two reservoirs. Believe me, a bit of PVC hose will work just fine.
