FOR SALE RHD Sliding door Van conversion Door 2

Discussion in 'Late Bay Parts Classifieds' started by Clink, Jan 13, 2019.

  1. I have two number RHD sliding doors for sale which are surplus to requirements. Both are from later bay models with the separate lock and are both from Van conversions.

Door 2 is not as good condition as door 1 but on the plus side has not been repaired before. It also has a GRP inner frame to the window section an is still repairable - see photos

Located in the north of Hampshire (close to Newbury, Berkshire) and will need collection in person due to size and weight - £1o0 ono

I would be interested in this door . but a couple of questions in pic 5 it shows some blistering on the body reveal. Is that terminal rust? ie crusty and likely to hole with a light tap or just surface .

also and this is the big one.. is there any way this can be couriered ? they like stuff in boxes ..

  4. Thanks for the interest, and most of the worst rust is at the bottom rather than the body reveal.
If you let me know exactly where you want some close up photos and I will take them for you?
As for courier, everything is possible but due to the size and weight it may be more than you you’d expect, but may be able to sort for you.

Im interested.. tell you why. My van was a panel conversion with flat glass. During the rsto, I made receses for all the windows including the slider and had glass cut to suit.

The slider was repaneld on the top half to eliminate the existing hole and the lower skin was repaired in the usual manner . Unfortunately when I was taking the door to te painted I dropped it on the lower corner the impact caused a small crack in the filler which was just a minimal skim to smooth out the panel. I just asked the paint shop to refill it when they were painting the van and the door .. Unfortunately they did the usual and wellied on the plop leaving a slightly thicker edge at the bottom of the door ..

If I secured another door I could do the repairs and the mods to my satisfaction and have it repainted without having to re repair the door thats on now .. Hope that makes sense. Im not in any mad rush. Im guessing a couple of bike boxes from the local bike shop would cover it .. Courier wise , I suppose thats the downside of living away up here in the frozen north.. I suspect it might be in the region of £30/£40 or thereabouts.. If it all fitted neatly into a £100 package that would be cool..

should have said, If you dont mind giving the surface rust on the body reveal a wee scrape and send some pics of that area to me that would be ace .. no need for pics of the door bottom I would replace the frame section and the lower skin.. Just keen to get one that hasn't been repaired previously..

    pmd you my email address
