    :eek:. I remember going into a pub in Bedale about 16 yrs ago and asking if they had a double room. They did so I went out to tell sarah yes and to park up and come in.

    Well, it all went quiet over there when she walked in and the Landlord and his mates at the bar turned as one and stared! The Landlord then did a massive grin and shouted across the pub, did you say a double room? Cue everyone looking :rolleyes:. Yes please, I politely, yet confidently, shouted back to the silent pub :). He did bring us a free drink later in the night and say he hoped he hadn’t embarrassed us!
