Tell me why I shouldn't buy a motorhome?

How fast do these caravan things go ? ,in the T25 I seem to pull/overtake with ease and the wedge is'nt that quick...

There's a brand new touring park just been built at the side of the static park, its very nice, probably not the cheapest place but you pay for the location I guess..

My brother in law just bought a cheap diesel hightop T25 camper so of course the inlaws have now decided they're gonna go one up and spend £25k on a 15 year old fiat ducato based 4 berth swift motorhome.
No idea where the money is coming from as they're always complaining their pensions aren't enough to live on yet always go away on £5k holidays every year. Do you think they're cooking meth?

Fran has been talking about selling the westy for ages (the lack of loo in a bay is the main reason she's not really been away in it) but is now talking about paying into their motorhome with the understanding we can use it sometimes.
I have the feeling the inlaws will probably bugger off for a month or so at a time in the summer leaving us with no camper to use though.

 

Proper Motorhomes

 

The extra length of any motorhome versus a bay can pose problems parking.
Fran has a hospital appointment in Blackpool on Wednesday so we were planning on heading away for a few days afterwards as we're already a couple of hours down the M6 but theres only 5 or 6 spaces in the hospital car parks that are longer than about 16ft. No parking in surrounding streets either.

Probably not a problem with a bay and maybe OK with a gypsy or karmann mobil too.

 

Bet you could overtake all of those on a bicycle...

0-60mph was not possible.
