The old oaks touring park, Glastonbury

  1. Let me start by saying this is adults only.
Stopped at this site in August and the cost with hook up was £25 a night. All pitches have hook up and have hard standing for the van and grass for the awning. No vans allowed on the grass so that's the maximum price to pay. I think the tents are cheaper. Fantastic facilities. New toilet block with showers and even provide hair dryers free of charge. They also provide a big chest freezer if you want to refreeze your ice blocks and also a microwave, both free. In the tourist room next to the reception/shop there is a pool table. Didn't check to see if it was free.
Wardens very friendly and you just get the feeling nobodies trying to rip you off, great vibes. Music to be kept to a minimum.
Glastonbury Tor is at the back of the site with a path directly to it. The town is about a mile and a half away, again walks provided. The town is full of aging hippies and has a lot of new age/ hippy/witchcraft shops, lovely place.
Also get a full phone signal as well on site.
If you want a quiet adult only site then I can't recommend this enough
