TLB Autumn camp for the hardy???

Anyone fancy braving the elements for an Autumn Camp???

The last couple of years a group of mates have been going to a campsite in Church Laneham, Nottinghamshire in October and we plan on doing the same this year but I thought about extending the invitation to other Late Bay members...

I've been to the campsite today to discuss it with the owner and they are more than welcoming ( I can't expect it to be overly busy in October ordinarily ) i have pencilled in dates of Friday the 13th ( didn't think that one through did i??) And saturday the 14th,there's at least 20 hook ups available in each of the two fields so that's covered, the price per van will be a negotiated discounted rate of £20 a night if booking both nights including hookup ,regardless of how many occupants and whether there will be an awning...if its just the Saturday it will be £23.50 ( something to with the online booking system not set up to take less than the usual fee ) but if you really want to be bothered the owner will refund the 3.50 on arrival.
The campsite is in the middle of nowhere in north Nottinghamshire set on side of the river Trent in a really nice location, facilities (toilets and showers) are very good and clean, the owners are very laid back , fire pits are allowed ( thankfully)

A short walk takes you to the local pub which is lovely , good beer and good food, it is advised that tables should be booked for food if required as it does get busy.

If there's enough interest , there is a brewery ( springhead) a mile or so down the road and I may look into booking a tour??

I know its not long after techenders and its getting late in the season but It would be nice to see a little bit of interest?

It's only October, I'll be in the back of the pickup as usual

 

I know its early days and the owners said there's no need for early commitment as its late in the season..so no rush

 

What's it like dunc on the back of a load bed ? If I attend I'll come in the crewie

It's a maybe from me - usually do a Halloween Camp somewhere like Hayfield though so that might be a bit close time-wise.

 

Im in mate , had a good laugh last time .
