There’s nothing more reassuring than a comforting cuddle; Hugging Day encourages you to embrace (see what we I there?) hugging, and to give those you care about a comforting squeeze. Lovely!

I hadn't realised how poorly I'd done in the hugging stakes until I started camping with TLB folk. A most pleasant, if not somewhat time-consuming experience. Some of the group hugs have been immense

Am I the only one that hates hugs? With the obvious exception of my wife, everyone else can stand at least 2 feet away, and shake hands in a traditional manner... :p

I think it's interesting to see at what point people decide it's now ok to hug. .. problem is I usually "break" first:hug:
PS a hug up north is huge on account of the addition of an "eee!"

    I like hugs,
I just tried to give Ms.T a hug but she told me "No hugs, until you have a shower smelly". That's the thanks I get for bringing back a side of lamb ( properly butchered).
I'm off to have a shower and slip into my Buggy Bear suit and see what she says then.

@Terrordales why don’t you have a shower and then put on your favourite “play “ outfit for the posh cockney

Hugs from people you don’t really know can be awkward....not necessarily bad as such, just a bit awkward cos no one, at least this is my experience, carries a sign on their front saying “OK To Hug” or “ Not OK To Hug”. I remember meeting Zoe, aka Yorkshirecampers for the very first time at Woolley Edge services, on the way down to Techenders, the first thing she did was throw her arms round me and hug me. I wasn’t expecting it, but I didn’t really mind cos I sort of “knew” her from this forum. It’s a tricky one though isn’t it. What is the etiquette for these things?

  16. I'm not sure I've ever had one. Will there be hugging at techenders?

  17. No hugs for me, it's how I got this Aussie flu, all the little germ bombs and parents hugging me as we opened the doors to school after the Christmas break. I was fine before that.

  18. I rarely hug my accountant.

Try it, it could reduce your tax bill. Or maybe a day in court
