Type 4 GRP under tins

Something isn't right there. I have undertins fitted and can run all day at 65 mph with the temp under 100. It won't be Paul's tins. Sounds like the airflow isn't working for some reason. Are your flaps operating correctly (ooh err Matron) or is any other tin missing?

 

Agreed - further investigation needed! Flaps are open permanently but there must be more missing or not fitted correctly. She's running so nicely at the moment but never got up to 65mph - more like 55 max. Originally she was 1600 and now 2000, I guess there's been many parts removed over the years and not replaced.

 

Have you had any luck with my usa config undertins yet?

 

Unfortunately mould making isn't a 5 minute job, and I also require a near perfect piece of tin to start with... As soon as I have something I'll update the first post on here!!

Picture of the European tins is in the first post... if they look completely different to those, then you'll probably have US ones

he's doing moulds as we speak. now he's got a pair of tins to use. I'm sure it won't be much longer.

 

Yep, US tins available shortly... Just got to finish getting the tins prepped for moulding!!

I've got a pair of euro spec tins that are seconds... the gel-coat didn't bond properly with the resin in a couple of places... Perfectly usable, but by no means perfect.. £20 for the pair inc post

I'm somewhere near...

The mould is made for the second one, I just need to trim it, and repair a couple of air bubbles, and then polish it and wax it

Just finding the time to get it done at the moment

 

Update for anyone interested... Aiming to have first set out by the end of next week
