uber rare, rear 3 point inertia seatbelt bracket

Discussion in 'Late Bay Parts Classifieds' started by davidoft, Nov 25, 2012.

  1. It's fine to turn the t shirt inside out and fit them that way. The forces are same which ever way round you use it. It's better than nothing if you have a crash In a bay and I now have all the family wear one when we go out. The beauty is the dog can use one too and no need to fit a rivnut for a fixing. Good work/find.

I wonder what the traffic cops would make of it?

  3. Am I right in thinking the bottom of the mount sits on the rear bulk head?

It mounts to the standard seatbelt mount in the window frame and there's a smaller mount 6 inches lower

  5. I might be interested in a pair do you still have any ?

    Yes I do

  7. As mine is a converted panel van I don't have the side mounts as stated and need to fabricate my own. Does anyone know if the bracket sits on the bulkhead or a little up from that to allow room for the seatbelt spool?

A little up but if you're making the mounting points you can mount it to the bulkhead

Does the bracket come with fixing bolts to fit? Shoot me over your details and I'll send over payment

    Thanks Julian

  16. Hi @davidoft
Would these brackets work with fixed type (non inertia reel) rear seatbelt?

why do you want to use non inertia ones? it depends on the type, got a pic? but inertia belts are what I would recommend

  18. These were in the van when I got it. Will see what I can do on the picture!

    Hi David,

Just a quick post to say that the seat belt bracket arrived safely today! Well packaged. The seat belt bracket is such a nice piece of work, I don't know whether to frame it or use it lol. Great quality, robust and extremely well engineered!

Look forward to fitting this with my new eBay purchased securon seat belt too

    Many thanks

    Julian
