Which one would you sell, which would you keep?

I've just got the camper, and 5 bicycles - the two cars are the girls so they don't count.

The camper needs some bodywork issues looked at urgently or I need to thin how to fund a replacement van then go through the whole rigamarol of converting it too!

If I had multpile vehicle I would want to keep the camper. Ever since I got my first one in the mid/late 90s they have been well used and my favourite things to drive.

  3. I had to sell this to buy my Bay: 20170407_092308.jpg
But I kept an MGBGT which mostly just sits in my parents garage and needs some work. I don't have time to work on two classics but I can't bear to completely lose touch with MG, my first automotive love...

I have my t2 bay and a cali import for a project when i move , a ford transit ... i also bought a t6 camper .....but the Foden truck had to go and the transit next and the wife's mini too to pay for the t6 . I might buy a cheap second hand single cab hilux for work .
I miss my old Foden doing timber work ...but i no longer do any timber work as it's to knackering at 60 .

I've got my Discovery Sport as a daily, Motorhome which we use a fair bit, and the Campervan which did 400 miles last year. Head would say sell the VW but I'd only start wanting something else if I had an empty garage. I did sell the Pickup though, because having 2 vehicles that I wasn't really using much was one too many.

    1973 late Bay and 2004 Peugeot 307SW.
Peugeot not worth a lot but I will spend time and eBay/Silverlake parts prices to keep it going. Its too cheap to replace at the moment.

My wifes 2002 Peugeot 307 will go first ..
But a Polo will replace it I expect.

I may be going to do something vaguely sensible and work out how much each vehicle costs me per annum, and do a list of reasons for and against each vehicle :) . Then I will probably ignore the findings!

I shall call this activity a SWOT analysis ;)

  11. i'm no use in things like this, i'm too loyal ... the bug was my first car and the bus my second. I had a little peugot 205 for winter use for a few years but hated it and eventually gave it to an ex student :D

i often think i ought to get a modern car but then find myself looking at fastbacks or squarebacks  and it'd mean getting rid of the bus or bug:eek:.

  13. I had a square back and was mid restoration when I met my wife.

She lived in that London, I lived in Newport.

    Game over !

Sadique Khan (spelling?) has made the choice for me with the ULEZ. Bye bye bmw family car. Bye bye cbr600F comuter and great fun bike! At least I get to keep my top polluter late bay.
What a bunch of muppets they are in the mayors office.

:) when I was thinking about changing my Seat for a newer van I always just ended up being attracted to ones like a Maestro, Renault 4 or Ford Escort. Apparently we either like modern sensible vehicles - or not!

    My T4 is my newest, that’s a 53 plate.

  17. So are historic vehicles exempt from the ULEZ?

Yeah. But my motorbike isn't even though it's got to be good as it's small and doesn't cause congestion so you'd think less pollution?

  19. I would sell the wife. Her bodywork is starting to show its age. Getting rough around the edges.
I’ve sold off all my old cars now and only got New rubbish cars now. Got to the stage I wasn’t driving any very much and was using the boat more. The garage is now my office, so no room to store any.
So it really depends what you want out of life.

Before Christmas I sold my Honda CB750 and 400/4, I've just sold my Suzuki GS750 and I've still got a Suzuki GT250, TS185 and Honda 250 Superdream.
