I just saw this bus for sale on Fleabay and was amazed at the bare faced cheek of the seller at asking such a price for what is effectively imo a heap of kak. He wants £10.5k? Am I wrong to think this is out of order? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Volkswage...736112?hash=item1eb82957f0:g:X5AAAOSwAuZX2P2X
How do you know its a heap of kak? He hasn't included any meaningful pictures so its hard to say. It could be rock solid and a good polish could bring the paint back. No real way of knowing though without seeing it. Asking prices are bonkers at the moment and there appears to be no rhyme or reason to it. I was looking earlier too. Some seem cheap and some are astronomical! Edit. I've looked again and you're probably right! Edit again. I'd say a bit more "chancing his luck" than "out of order". His bus; he can ask what he wants.
Yes you're right, he isn't "out of order" and he has every right to ask what he likes, but equally I still think its a bonkers price.
There are loads of bonkers prices out there. I know insurance value is a bit different to real value, but I was amazed at some of the figures being banded about at Techenders regarding peoples agreed values! I think I was the only person who had mine at (well) below £20k!
selling vans, selling houses its the same. folks set a higher asking price than they expect to get. the seller has offered it as is and there's no getting away from what you see. someone may pay the asking price, but more likely the seller would expect to have to come down on it. if someone fancies it, they will buy it. Bay van prices are holding firm or rising due I think to the sky high prices for split screen vans. most folks can't or ever will afford a split screen but Bays are still affordable, so folks go for them. Even the T25 prices are rising for the same reason.
I think the days of bays playing second fiddle to splits are long gone. They're chalk and cheese. Most people buy a bay because they want a bay, not because they cant afford a split imho.
blew off the same time as the top glass panel in the side window... tbh it looks like it has been farmed out for parts ,kick panels, door panels, fresh air grills, tent bit, rear cupboard door etc etc
