Yes i need to take it off and clean it up. I made it with my crappy welder so I may wven remake it. Then Powder coat it
Did you do all that yourself Matt? You should be going on an upholstery course for your post RAF days! They’re fab
After having the vinyl for over 18months I have finally pulled my finger out and started re-doing the headlining. (under top bed ceiling) Sent from my Pixel 4 using Tapatalk
My plastics/rubber roof bits came up nice after a day or so in a bucket of bleach. They'll never go back to fully white, but the bleach seems to shift tabacco and years of hand grime.
Having ignored my noisey rear wheel bearing for too long I pulled it all apart, to find it pretty grotty and I have two split cv boots. This is a good example of why Mots are good. Mine was due 08 April and I would have done the wheel bearing before the MOT. Which means I would have also found the split cv boots. Having had a freebie 6 month extension I ignore sir for a bit longer. With a full permanent exemption this could snowball. I am not going MOT free BTW. Sent from my Pixel 4 using Tapatalk
So whilst doing the bearings and replacing the CV boots I thought I best check the cv joints themselves. Turns out they are the original Lobro factory fitted ones judging the the 6/78 date code handily stamped in to them by Lobro. They're also BADLY pitted and need replacing. Some good second hand ones will do for now. Let's see if GKN Lobro boots last..... I think theres something wrong with me, I just washed my camper and then started clay barring it. I also finally fitted my genuine bosch fuel pump, so much quieter than the cheapo £20 ebay job. (only had it for 18 months) Sent from my Pixel 4 using Tapatalk
Early start this morning, finished the clay barring yesterday and as we want to go out for a day trip today I needed to get some polish on the bus to protect it. Comes up OK, using autoglym super polish, then it will be Bilthamber double speed wax with hydrophobic polymers!!
