I’m Malc I kinda know a lot of these retrobates we meet quite a bit throughout the year here and there
No It’s fine.. it’s understandable.. with the current market and prices.. a cheap bus can seem to good to be true..
Know it well half of my family are from around that area, cleobury, clee hill, far forest. My van is at my sons house at Newman bridge.
My 77 devon moonraker is coming up for sale . It has everthing your looking for except the full width bed. I went for an adjustable width bed to get a bit wider bed than a 3/4 but still have a slim unit for storage so it's in between a full width & 3/4. If this looks like the type you are looking for i have hundreds of pictures of all the work done over the 3 years i spent bringing it back to life . Cheers Paul
Thank you so much Paul, it's a very beautiful van! Do you have the measurement of the width of the bed please? Also could you possibly pm me with the price you have in mind and the location please? Many thanks Glenda
Something to bare in mind @The Steels , having skipped through your post , the whole buying scenario when choosing a van is the perfect van FOR YOU just isn`t out there and it`s the same for everyone - it`s all a compromise ... LHD - Deffo no for you , but they`re usually imports with less structural deteriation . Mines LHD and switching from one side to t`other never been a problem . Tintop - Lower height and will probably squeeze into a normal garage but i like being able to stand up - they`re OK but feel claustraphobic in comparison . Full width or 3/4 bed ?? - 3/4 can be quite `snug` but retains storage down the side whereas with the full width is palatial in comparison with no viable side storage . Standard is about 120cm , full width is about 155cm - i had a custom one made (135cm ??) which gives a wider bed but means i can still have some valuable storage down the side... T1 or T4 ?? - Up to you , more expensive to fix but supposedly better longevity and more power from the T4`s or easier to fix / cheaper and better parts availability of the 1600 T1 ?? Mine`s a 1600 and i`m more than happy with it ... And the list goes on ... You`ll get the idea but i suggest you try looking at different vans , kick a few tyres before you even consider looking seriously for `your` van . Techenders is on next weekend , just pop along for the day and have a look around at different interiors , layouts etc which will give you a better idea of what you need/want from a van . There`ll be 30 or so vans in the same place with foolish owners who for some bizzarre reason bought one and will happily tell you the up`s and downs of different interiors and layouts . It`s a bit daunting walking into a field full of strangers and asking to look around but it`s a great opportunity and they don`t bite - much ... The @just-paul moonraker looks ace BTW , if it won`t fit in your garage ever considered renting a storage area ?? It`s all a compromise ....
