I’ve had the engine out a few times over the years normally using the balancing on a Jack and dragging method. I’ve got to remove it again over Christmas and I see quite a few of you use motorbike jacks any recommendations for a good cheep easy one.
Thats amazing thank you I will message you when I definitely know when I’m doing it as I need to finish fitting some garage doors first, hopefully that will be this weekend then I’m off over Christmas to do the engine.
now that's sorted can we start posting new threads called 'Gearbox Bob' or 'Captain Jack'? please don't!
A statistic. One of my friends once asked somebody they knew how their tuned-up Subaru owning son was getting on ..and discovered it fell on him and he died.
Am I the only one who keeps revisiting this thread in the hope there might actually be a recommendation for an engine/motorcycle Jack? You know, thread content that's actually relevant to the title
I think you’re asking a bit much there, this is TLB after all However this is mine, had it about 5 years removed lots of engines and boxes with it, got it off Ebay does the job, knowing me it was almost certainly under £100
I ew I nearly bought one of these but I got worried about merrily lowering it and crunching something as the hydraulic cylinder bit rises up...
Thanks again @paneuropaul for the offer but i have decided to buy one. £92 on evil bay will let you all know how i get on.
