Engine Jack

    I’ve had the engine out a few times over the years normally using the balancing on a Jack and dragging method.

    I’ve got to remove it again over Christmas and
    I see quite a few of you use motorbike jacks any recommendations for a good cheep easy one.

    Thats amazing thank you I will message you when I definitely know when I’m doing it as I need to finish fitting some garage doors first, hopefully that will be this weekend then I’m off over Christmas to do the engine.

    A statistic. One of my friends once asked somebody they knew how their tuned-up Subaru owning son was getting on ..and discovered it fell on him and he died.

  14. Am I the only one who keeps revisiting this thread in the hope there might actually be a recommendation for an engine/motorcycle Jack? You know, thread content that's actually relevant to the title :rolleyes:

  15. I think you’re asking a bit much there, this is TLB after all

    However this is mine, had it about 5 years removed lots of engines and boxes with it, got it off Ebay
    does the job, knowing me it was almost certainly under £100

    I ew
    I nearly bought one of these but I got worried about merrily lowering it and crunching something as the hydraulic cylinder bit rises up...

    Bolt some 3/4 ply board on for extra stability .

    Thanks again @paneuropaul for the offer but i have decided to buy one. £92 on evil bay will let you all know how i get on.
