I almost played Exodus but thought Redemption had a much more relaxed tone. Thanks for tuning in - it really does help knowing people are listening. The hospital patients tend to stay very quiet, understandably and don't ring or text in that often.
My Primary School had a steel band and I used to hear them many times - I was brought up on the border of Moseley and Balsall Heath in Brum. Two very cultural areas. Moseley was very Bohemian and Balsall Heath was one of the most culturally diverse places in the UK in the late 70s - home of the Balti Triangle, where I had my first curry (before Balti was a name). Steel drums just mean 'bright and cheerful' even if played badly, such a great sound.
Time to get home. I almost cycled tonight, but thought I might be overdoing it as I cycled to work today. I'm in my daughter's Beetle as it needed a run as she isn't up to driving at the moment.
Apologies for missing you tonight @Louey , it was my Cinema volunteers Christmas party. (and yes, we did all wear our Christmas jumpers!) Catch you next time
Jackson Browne, Supremes. Grandmaster Flash, Billy Ocean, Ini Kamozie, Jimmy Cliff and Bob Marley..... Thanks for tuning in as always.
Great . I'll be around for the first half hour again - walking George to the pub for the Thursday quiz. Fed up as not going to Techenders - camper still broken; kitchen not finished - wrong parts supplied so no cooker. Could be worse though, First World problems
