Can you buy this bit the round shoulder bit that's welded between the tube and chassis?
Or is it a case of make one?[IMG]

  2. It's not a separate part. It's where the tube has been seam-welded to the chassis.

I know Rich but you can buy the chassis replacement so I assume someone sells this bit?[IMG]

If it’s the tapered piece you’re after, I made new ones for my bus. I used a piece of card and made it into a cone then carefully cut it down to give me a tapered ring that snugly fitted round the tube, then un-curled it, traced it on to 2mm thick steel then cut it out and squeezed it round the tube and welded.

  5. Good way of doing it, if there's sound metal to attach it to

  11. Ugly, but maybe weldable. I've seen worse, esp where the chassis is so rotten, the torque tube's actually flapping around
