Bit of a long shot! As some of you know I'm on a bit of a road trip at the moment. To cut a long story short I need a couple of Oil strainer gaskets, is there anyone local to Cambridge that I could come and pick some up tomorrow?
people do the nuts up too tight which warps the plate at every hole after which you're boogered really unless you can flatten it with a hammer and lump hammer anvil. Check yours out.
Things have got a bit worse 'cos of exactly that I think. I've just posted in the what have you done thread
Posh ones are cork and rubber same as rocker cover gasket material. You also need the annealed washers and acorn nuts or your entire sabbatical will be marked out as you go.. I am sure you can find a scurrilous pamphlet by Mr Wesley to cut out a gasket..
