Hi all, Have been reading posts for quite a while, am a member on the Samba but have gotten some good info from this fine site so figured I'd sign up. Very nice to be here, hope to learn more than I know... which isn't a ton Take care, Mikey
We welcome you to our little side of the pond. We're mostly nice. Well some of us.... er one of us.... maybe.
Hello and welcome from way down south... well, the south of England that is. We love photos on here, so 'show us your ride'
Welcome from France. I had to Google 'R2C filters w/ Outerwears pre-filters', basically filters for the air filters. I guess it's pretty dusty where you live?
Thanks everyone, much appreciated. 77 Westy, where I live is not dusty, really, but since I drive my bus in all conditions they help to keep rain water off the filters. Also, of course, going camping and driving in dusty conditions they help to keep the filters clean. Normally, I only have to remove and clean the pre-filters and the R2Cs stay pretty clean, themselves. So should I post up some pics here? Or is there a better section do do that in? Maybe profile or something. Thanks again, all. Cheers! Mikey
H Welcome from a fellow Westy owner. Mine was made in 77 and registered Aug 78 on its way to your side of the pond. It came over here about 10 years ago. Pictures here on this thread would be great, just use the upload a file button and away you go
Awesome. Very nice to "meet" you all.... so far. I will get those pics up asap. Happy Friday!... or Saturday / Thursday where you guys are? Whatever.
Hi all, Here's a few pics of the Popibus. A never ending work in progress... but at least, now, it's not slow anymore It was pretty rough when we first picked it up. The interior panels were cut from white Baltic Birch (very inexpensive), the furniture built from scrap plywood (free), and between the body panels and headliner, we insulated it with the packaging stuff they use for those meal services that ship stuff to you... also free; synthetic jute encased in plastic with some breather holes. Fun stuff!
77 - no sir, I have not. Funny you mention that, I was considering that move. Thanks, I will check it out.
Hello and Welcome from The Colonial Contingent. Hope you're far enough north to have dodged the storm.
Thanks very much. We are FAR north of LA / San Diego, thankfully. All we got up this way were some clouds, a bit of wind, and a few rain drops; I guess the very outskirt of that storm. A few friends of mine down south said it wasn't too bad... a TON of rain, though. Thanks, Mikey
