can getbusy during the day, but for a couple of quid in the meter, you get a 24 hour toilet block with drinking water Much quieter in the evening
i felt safe camping with my two daughters, 12 and 10 at the time... then again they can both handle themselves
and if you dont fancy the wild camping there is a campsite about half a mile away http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=4549
its a very nice spot on a no through road, with some great walks along the costal path, but the area hides a terrible ww2 history... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exercise_Tiger http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2004/may/16/military.usa
il very much second this one!! Slapton is a beautiful place, with many wonderful memories for me and great driving roads around there too. and, as mentioned, very near dartmouth, which is a place i cant recommend enough! a surefire winner.
Just be aware...the road from slap ton towards Blackpool sands, (no sand there either!) And Dartmouth is very steep and curvey!
