I'm in need of 3 M7 bolts, can be 0.75 or 1.0 mm threads. They need to be 25mm minimum length and be either hex/torx cap head style. They can't be a normal bolt head as they go inside a deep narrow hole. Thanks for any help or stupid posts that follow
M7 That's a peculiar size, not much choice on fleabay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/M7-1-0-x-...693?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item23288839cd Not cheap though
Exactly. I did find some titanium ones but they're silly money. I need to open up some stripped M6 threads and M8's would be pushing my luck.

Thanks guys, I didn't realise how uncommon M7 was. I might see if I can stretch to M8, if not I'll have to go for some expensive M7 ones.
Using a M6 Recoil insert would let you keep the correct bolt size and the drill is going to be considerably less than 8mm....the kit will probably work out less than the cost of M7 set screws....just a thought... An M7 tap may well cost an arm and a leg as its a non preferred size
30mm @£1, socket head http://www.polished-stainless.com/phdi/p1.nsf/supppages/3534?opendocument&part=2#metric
Very easy to use as they come complete. Ive bought them off fleabay in the past...plenty of stockists.
If I went the helicoil route, can you put more than one coil in the the damaged hole. I've never done one before. They all list them as being 8.0mm long which doesn't seem enough thread to me.
Wurth timesert much better than helicoil and they are available in different lengths pricey but permanent and wont wind out like helicoil can
