Will we also have to be joined to America with a bridge. I could take the bus across to Florida to viisit my Auntie. If we joined Australia by bridge, terrodales could come to techenders, or Mr Haynes could get him in his taxi.
Maybe that`s the problem - i rarely listen / watch the news these days but when something grabs my attention it`s usually along those lines . Last nugget i heard about Boris was when he was trying to help release some woman imprisoned in the far East accused of spying . Didn`t he screw that up as well ?? Just remember , he wasn`t voted into the job , he was appointed . I was undecided about Brexit but when Cameron started wheeling out the `big guns` (Obama , Merkel etc) pleading his case that tipped me over the edge and i voted out , more as a protest . We`re becoming a political joke in Europe and there`s not really much we as Brits , can do about it . Whichever incumbent we chose to lead us or take office seems woefully inadiquate for the tasks they need to deal with . Look at the last `election` , protest vote if ever there was one !! We have lost all respect from our European neighbours so eff `em all , lets just get on , leave a community that sees the UK as nothing more than a cash cow amd stand on our own two feet . Then we`ll see who needs who the most ... Rant over , have a nice day
maybe we can go back to growing our own hops and apples again and catch our own fish. we don't need their wine and cheese and golden delicious. they don't like us, just our money.
The whole of BBC news is built off total negativity on Brexit never bringing up ANY up sides which there are .....trouble is the majority of people take media as gospel truth....there lies the big problem . There are millions of people who really take The Sun and all the other sheets of toilet paper as the truth ....Well it's got to be hasn't it , it's a newspaper . Well they have stopped putting tits in the papers ....Now were left with ***** . Great .
Don't you live in Kent Sir? The garden of England, bloody loads of apple trees.... and much tastier than golden delicious and granny smiths
Sad thing is mind , there is only half the orchards there used to be ...if not more . Hopefully they are planting more again in Kent . I know a lot of cider apple orchards have been planted in Herefordshire ,Worcestershire , Somerset and Devon to quite a big extent ...which is good for the environment , but not so good for the liver
Yes, we should buy British cars, what a choice we have. MG has been producing cars since 1924, they really know their stuff and must have a superb range of cars. Oh wait didn’t they go bust and are now Chinese producing junk(s)? It’ll have to be Rover then, quality cars if ever there were, loads of wood and leather. Ahh but they lost the ‘R’ and it’s now ‘over’ to the Chinese. Land Rover, the best 4x4 by far, they’ll go on forever, as far as India anyway. Jaguar then, a bit expensive but good value, Morse had one and they won at Le Mans and many other races, but lost the big race - to India. Lotus? Nope, Chinese owned again. Rolls Royce, you can’t get more British than RR, the best cars in the world, they made engines to power the fastest cars, boats and ‘planes and to beat the Germans in WW2. But not fast enough to stop the Germans from taking them over. Bentley, the fastest lorry in the World that left everything in its wake - except the Germans. Riley, Wolseley (my first car - a 1500, lowered, wide wheels and fitted with a 1622 MG spec lump), Austin, Morris and of course dozens more I haven’t mentioned – all gone, but not forgotten. But all is not lost Aston Martin, founded in 1913 and still British after a bit of toing and froing. No longer owned by Ford, but your family Ford might still have certain similarities if you look at the grill - that’s where the similarities end. So, we’ll have to continue to buy VW, Audi, BMW, Mercedes or Porsche if we want something not made of cheese. But at least it would be French cheese. ^All tongue in cheek, but not far from reality is it?
We did rather ‘sell out’ didn’t we? Trouble is, can we go back? Have we sold too much off, got too used to cheap and Chinese / Indian etc? Do we have the infrastructure to start again? We could. But it’ll be painful, and I don’t think anyone sees passed ‘cheap’ and ‘instantly available’ anymore. We built railways and ships.... (and bridges ) but we’ll probably never do it again. We can produce food though. Apples, grain, beef, lamb.... that we can do. Start small and be patient. There, that’s my pessimistic optimism Bridges to France though?? Oh Boris you really are an overpaid plonker.
The way I see it is the twonks we have governing the country ,just don’t have a clue about real life or real business or telling the truth either .We are not getting the same benefits as other countries in the eu , our roads have gone to pot ,destroyed by over weight lorry’s coming in from Europe and not paying a penny towards their up keep like we are on theirs. Chinese goods being sold thru their system which makes them cheaper for them but not us, cars that are cheaper to buy over their than they are here , how come foreign supermarkets are thriving here ,why can they sell stuff cheaper ? Why has butter etc gone up since brexit ,we arnt even out yet , the money markets have milked us dry and we our government just stand buy n let their mates do what they like as long as it doesn’t mean them loosing their jobs ,two faced twonks , here endeth my rant
The government is not a business, if it was it would be bust. It doesn't hire employees (MP's) they are ordinary folks (some not so ordinary) elected by the people. The elected MP's do not have the experience or business acumen to carry out the roles they are given, so appear to us to be incompetent, which they are. and they keep changing roles in re shuffles so make them less competent. What's worse is those elected politicians may not be in the job long enough to learn or do anything useful and they operate and think in the short term. They cannot operate for the long term, so long term projects are vulnerable.
True but there are loads of Cars made in UK - in fact mre made here than ever before. So get out there and buy the Vauxhalls, Nissans, Toyotas and Hondas built in Britain - and never mind that Tata own Jaguar LandRover and BMW own Mini - support British workers.
If it is not played over 5 days then it is NOT cricket. Scientific fact.* . . . . . . . . . . . *Research from The Terrordales Institute of Sporting Endeavors.
