Well Marge was fine must have been your good vibes @paulcalf hehe. Goran Syncro went up to Scotland for some structural repairs and tidying up on Friday so our family gathering is one short for now And further to Matt @pkrboo reference to needing new solar panels, Chips are banging in the beans today. Midday in Lincs
Lol. It's a disease many of us are afflicted with. @Mrs Busmonkey has always had a hankering for a bay double cab. George I think has fulfilled that desire. Now, from my perspective a bay sign written panel Van would be an ideal shop truck
Five is far too many, the others would get jealous. Between you you can only drive 2 at a time You can sign write the double cab surely
First camp of 2022! We've got a few bits to do over the weekend such as finish cleaning the cab and put the curtains up but oh how we've missed the old bus during the recent refurb... Fettling .. Hooked up for the Westy fridge. It won't be a dry one...
One of a few weekenders we'll be doing this year as opposed to anything more ambitious. The Globe at Snarestone. We've been here through the tunnel on the boat before, but never camping. The site is literally next to the Ashby canal and so far so good...
Thanks Chris. It's pretty cool we have a facility like TLB to indulge ourselves in remembering, and planning, trips and experiences. Mel and I take great inspiration from being able to reminisce and it helps us remain focussed. Hopefully some folk also get a bit of a boost from threads like this, and there are a few tucked around the forum, and it helps to remind us all why we are daft enough to own a bay bus
Well, we've used Chip quite a bit this year but only for general UK based weeks and weekends away. So today's little drama I guess adds to Chips travel story. We exited the marina left and a couple of hundred meters up the road is Cavendish Bridge over the Trent. Stopped at the lights, neutral. Lights changed ....First, second...snap! Clutch cable! Coasted into the entrance of the Old Waterways yard and we leapt into action. Tools out, work gear on, Mrs Monkey provided me with a choice of cables and in I dived... No real drama other than the drilled holes on the crimped fixing at the pedal end of the cable needed 'easing' to get the pin through. That would have been a real pain if we didn't have a 6mm drill to hand so just a heads up to check your cable stash.. Past its best wasn't it..I'd been adjusting it for a while so wasn't completely suprised and as I've got the box to refresh I was winging it...ah well, they always tell you when they arent happy don't they.. Under way again...have a good weekend all x
Forgot about this! July this year saw us at Wentworth Woodhouse with Dickster and pkrboo attending SVWOC annual bash. And thanks to Paul Calf Chip got to pose on the hallowed turf of the back lawn with his splendid van.
