Hi. Just wondering if anybody else has used these plastic kick panels from JK and if so are they any good? I know it would be relatively easy to make a pair from hardboard but for the price, a wipe down surface could be good. Finally, what were the original kick panels made off!
    Thanks

I think mine has them fitted. They are still looking good after 10+ years, if a little boring … would like something lighter as they rarely get “kicked “.

  3. I replaced the standard items with these, and yes - they are pretty good.

Originals were hardboard with a vinyl covering

I do, so easy, love ‘em!
As has been said by others, they can be taken out and out back in when necessary without worrying if you’ll bend them or damage the covering.
My front speakers are mounted in them too.
    Thumbs up from me.

  6. I also have 6x9 speakers mounted in them (vertically) :) - managed to salvage the original washer tank pressure sticker from the old ones too

  7. Yep, I have them covered. I had some ply ones that snapped on first fit.
    Plastic ones are muchoo bettero.

    JK ones are flat shiny?
I got some from madmatz that were more bobbly as they should be IMO.

  10. mine are textured too - now I'm thinking about it I can't remember if they were actually JK ones or not, only that they are plastic
