Swapping the Manifold to the larger for a 34 Carb but the Manifold I have doesn't have the central bracket, does this matter?
OK seemed odd as was on 1300 but not 1600 with a heavier carb. Didn't fancy another wrestling match with it again, I hope those 5mph different is going to make the difference
If you find yourself wrestling with stuff on top of the engine, like replacing the manifold boots, you'd be cursing the useless bracket that also forces you to loosen a crank case bolt.
Yes most definitely! It would have been in the way even more, no doubt you have suffered the same predicament. All in now and is solid, ready for refurbished Carb, the rebuild is finally underway.
