If you can, try and get hold of a Record Engineers bench vice. Great bit of kit, wouldn’t be without mine.

Thats what I’ve got, bought it in a place where they sell other peeps stuff on a commission basis. It was the princely sum of ten quid and I was nagged non stop for the rest of the half hour as we wandered around looking at second hand furniture and kitchen units, golf clubs, fishing rods, ancient Kenwood mixer upper type thingies, old horse brasses, patio tables and every other thing available on this planet. I got several envious looks from other fellas as I wandered around with my treasure, a bit like that little girl on the telly that scored a quid from the trolley, well for a little while. I used to wander around that shop in Downend called The Attic and another one called Rothchilds dustbin , there used to be quite a few around but not now maybe. A bit like Lidl, in that you’d go perusing on the look out for one thing and come home with a diving helmet and a new front for your grate. :)

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,and the times, they are a changing :)
