We'll be there Martin although it's just down the road a few junctions so it'll only be for the day. Will look out for you...

We’re out this year, maybe next.

Got Ferocious Dog at Rock City the day before and it will be messy :D

  4. May well be there but just for the day as it's only a 20 minute drive from home:thumbsup:

gonna have a look to see if theres any thing to do in the area that would make sence for me to book the saturday and sunday camping , to then stay in the area somewhere until the techenders on the 6th , its a 200 miles round journey for me

Had a quick look around . Camping at the show seems a good deal, then maybe move onto" the biker hotel" for three nights is a good deal also... If it isnt full with oversea visitors . Anyone from the area any knowledge of the place ? Then move onto techenders maybe on the Thursday. . Jus got to put it past the missus. .

  9. I would love to be going as it's a show I've never made it to before, but it clashes with standing on top of the Cerne Abbas Giant, toasting the May Day sunrise with a bunch of like-minded eejits :burp:

  10. My 'local', being about 40 mins drive away, and my first ever VW show back in 1988. Cancelled the last 2 years due to covid, I'm 100% hoping to be there for the day this year

  11. Gonna be the first time for me. Stanford Hall virgin.
£28 for two nights camping ain't bad. Says it includes the £12 show entry too so a bargain really.
£120 of diesel is a bit of a kick in the teeth though.

I agree , thats why i am trying to find something to keep me down there. Three nights in the biker hotel is £**,(ive edited this as i got it wrong and no dates available) we like looking in antique shops and the like so were looking for things to do to keep us there all week . I am sure there will be things but not had much chance to look , as new kitchen came today so making room to move around til i fit it . Would be daft to not book the camping for the show but it very old fashioned ,by post only i believe

i got name wrong its bikers pub

just looking on the site now, and i realise i had wrong dates input , unfortunatly as the 2nd is a bank holiday , it wont allow an odd couple of days, so from 2 - 6 may its now £240(gulp) it wont allow me to book from 2nd to 5th May only so i cannot price it up

I’m going to decide last minute and then see. If I go, probably be camping for 2 nights.

    Not 100% certain yet.

Do they still have the SSVC AGM there. I seem to recall Eddie used to close it up to non members on the Stanford Hall weekend but that may have changed?
