  4. If you want to stay on site it looks like you need to pre book, by paying by cheque and sending an SAE (so end of this week is probably last chance to book).

Nah, email the office, they take payment over the phone or BACS. Can’t remember which. I just start my email every year: sorry for being such a delinquent, again!

i phoned them up and they dont do banking over the phone at least i donty think they do ?, when i phoned them i was advised to email them for details on how to pay without sending a cheque in , i did attach a completed application form in to my emil to them , this is their reply to me

Thank you for your booking form

Sorry we don’t take card payments

If you want to pay by bank transfer, you may do so
Please add £1to the final amount owed to cover self-addressed envelope.

Please fill in the camp booking form I require all the info on the form to process your tickets.

Alternatively send your self-addressed envelope and booking form via post?

If you can’t scan and attach the form back to me, please put all the info required in the body of an email and confirm your payment date
I will then confirm your booking and send the tickets.

Please ref your payment VW …………….(Surname)

Our bank details NatWest Stanford Hall

    Many thanks with kind regards

IN the end i decided to send a cheque via post as i think time is running out , but i couldnt decipher their reply to me . The application form asks for reg number so if tickets dont arrive at my home before the show i am sure there will be a way of sorting it out once at the campsite

Just found an old email. Pay on the gate. It’s all fairly painless.

  10. I emailed them about paying on the gate and they replied saying it was pre book only. Something about limiting number due to covid restrictions (though i assume that was last year).

I’ll do my usual. If no space

    No big deal.

i phoned them up before i sent my cheque to see if there were any camping spaces left, the lady advised me that there are loads of space "we wont run out of spaces is a massive area "

Exactly, which is why I’m so relaxed about it. But at the same time if I can’t camp c’est La vie

  14. Looks like i'm not going. 2 car insurances, tax on the caravelle, an MOT due and a big bill to neuter the pup all within a couple of weeks so can't afford the fuel to get there. :(
Been looking forward to it for 4 or 5 years too.

  15. If helps we stayed at Stanton lakes near Stoney Cove, nice on site resturant too about 20 mins away. Gutted we cant go in camper this time but will have to take beetle instead. Were lucky we have a hour max to get there..

  16. I've said sod it and sent my cheque and SAE off. Its only money right? Gonna be just staying the saturday night and in the motorhome though. The thought of a 4.5+ hour drive then sleeping in a tent put me off taking the beetle. It could really do with a full service and tune up anyway.

  17. i may go, see what engines i can be jealous of

  18. you may be better coming to techenders the following weekend.
Plenty of engines to see, subaru, standard type ones and four engines, bigger type ones etc. I'm sure people would take you for a spin
Or if you want to be really ambitious get all the bits you need for an engine rebuild and post on the techenders thread with a plea/reqquest for much help

Hmmm I think he needs at least one of everything!
But, LP did rebuild an engine at TE and many top end rebuilds were done in the past before it became more of a social/drinking event. The trouble is you only need to find one thing out of spec/need a different part and the whole thing would grind to a halt however many willing hands were involved.

Is anyone going to Stanford Hall that is then also going to techenders the following weekend, and could meet up with @jonno69 to collect a set of twin carbs on my behalf?! And then bring them to Victoria Farm for me?
If not, I’ll just get him to post ‘em, but thought it was worth an ask :)
