Partying on the eve of Prince Phillips funeral, on the news.

Isn’t that some sort or treason?

  2. Did anyone ever think there was just one party?

Unfortunately while there is no credible alternative to Boris or the Tory party they can do whatever they like.

Is it really a shock to everyone that politicians lie and do what suits them I thought that was part of the job description

  5. I remember the days of shop stewards and convenors. They always looked after themselves first.

Me too, one doubled my salary on my first day of work which was great, but in the round they were all out to keep the managers/employers on a knife edge - one false move and we'll destroy the company. Then again when it came to a pay dispute they totally sided with the company while presenting a face of siding with the workers - we ended up with a pay rise less than originally offered, back dated only 6 months of the 2 year dispute. There was a show of hands vote that was about 3:1 for rejecting the offer, but they blithely announced we'd clearly voted to accept it! Maybe it was due to the phrasing of the motion along the lines of "all those in favour of rejecting the proposal to accept the rejection of accepting the offer to reject the acceptance of rejecting the..." lol

Beware of retaliation via the media ..they are absolute professionals at seeking paying big money and finding flaws .
Leaking emails they pay out thousands to millions , so much money in it .
And possibly they pay out big money to the media as a counter attack .

No point in going into politics if you are a softy

  11. I think he’s done for and if I’m honest I think there needs to be a good clear out of a lot of the Downing Street hangers on at the same time.

seems to be a pattern in this country, the major government became a joke, then the Blair government that I had such high hopes for left a very bitter taste in the mouth, now bojo seems to be devoid of any grasp of reality.

they are meant to be a conservative government. I’m not sure how forcing NHS staff to be injected or get sacked can in any way be considered small government. You expect it of Russia or China or North Korea maybe. I think he might have lost the plot to be honest.

  14. I’d be happy with Sunak to be honest. He seems so far at least to have avoided all the nonsense and been quietly getting on with his actual job, shock horror. Although expensive, I’d say on balance the furlough scheme was a success.
You watch now I’ve said that it will probably come out in the papers tomorrow that he’s a heroin addict who’s had six affairs. Lol.

  17. everyone gives my mate Boris a hard time Double standards

So was Boris invited to Tecender's and was that a business meeting!;)

  18. I think I'm going to regret engaging... but, the PM is one of the leaders of this country, and the Queen is another. To the PM, the Queen's husband isn't just "someone that's dead" but someone who you are professionally involved with, and in politics, to boot, which is very much about optics and public perception. So yeah I think they really dropped the ball on that one. It's not comparable to one of us plebs having a party on the same night as some minor actor that used to be in Eastenders' funeral, for example.

What if the roles where reversed and Prince Philip was at a party the night before no one would be bothered at all and its would not be allowed to be aired period.

Its an invasion into the MP's private life and if you look at other leaders present and past i think he's doing an amazing job.
