A very entertaining progg... https://www.brooklandsmuseum.com/ab...-museum-is-back-for-second-series-in-february
Looks a brilliant place and the stuff they've got is amazing.... but the staff.........you've got more patience than me, I watched 1st series on fast forward!
Fascinating place - a petrol heads dream ! I last visited with a restorer who thought it was all `very twee` but was blown away by something totally unexpected which most people walk past and never realise its significance ... There`s the HUGE stratospheric chamber used to test various post war inventions :- An interesting insight :- https://www.brooklandsmuseum.com/explore/heritage-and-collection/our-collection/stratosphere-chamber
Good shout... When we went, I couldn't understand what it was all about from the entrance. It is mind boggling...
Had a mosey round while at a meeting at Mercedes benz world as it’s right next door. Very interesting place well worth a visit.
I don't think you can just pop in though ?? I've been invited a couple of times for promotional events - cracking building and as upmarket as you'd expect Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
We was there around 6 hrs, On a vehicle demonstration/owners club day, A lot of vehicles out of the museum Did the hill climb and various vehicles on parts of the track, And an hr in MB world watching some of the museum and owners cars on their track, The time flew by.. Very genteel English day out...
10 out of 10 ,a proper day out .The Concorde experience was very informative and interesting..The hill climb and banked track are unique.
That's a HATFA - high altitude test facility - had one of those at RO Westcott when I worked there, a lot smaller than that though - we tested the burners for several of the high altitude/endurance balloon attempts of the late 90's
