http://www.cuckoosrest.webeden.co.uk/# is where we spent the weekend. Not massive but showers and toilets clean, childrens play room, shop staffed by honesty box and free to use fridges and freezers. Pitch where you like but only about 12 pitches that back onto the adjacent fields with room for another 6-10 in the middle. we used this as a base to visit beachey head 6 miles away and walk to birling gap and the seven sisters. Nice little site - got quite busy but it was bank holiday weekend. It rained very hard on saturday and again sunday night and the ground did retain the water but had no problems getting off and on site. no electric and no nearby pubs although there is a MacDonalds 5 minutes drive away. Recommend the Sussex Ox pub which is 4 miles away and is in the shadow of the Wilmington chalk long man and has amazing views of the south downs. The site seemed to entertain the kids - there is a sand pit and swings and a play room with a pool table and swing ball. Only two minor drawbacks - no lights in the toilet cubicles so its a bit dark at night and the shower cubicle floors could do with some wooden slatted flooring to stop your clothes getting wet when getting changed but will go back - recommended.
