Engine failure

It’s a boxer engine, so should know it’s stuff

 

Not sure how bright boxers are. A border collie would've measured your deck height and set your piston ring gaps for you.

 

Curses.....rain has stopped play

.......but the engine is in position with the bolts in the support bar and trolley jack still in situ.

Well, we got home too without incident and the van came up the drive under its own power. Once it's cooled down (and I've had copious amounts of beer and sleep) I will check over the tappets again and check for any fuel leaks. I can not deny I've driven there and back on tenter hooks fearing something would happen.

So cheers for the well wishes and advice......and I've now been ordered to look at the fuel nozzle 3 times minimum before selecting it so such a mistake does not happen again.
