forum housekeeping

Good morning all. @hailfrank and i are doing a bit of housekeeping so a few things might change on the forum. if anybody has any gripes, issues or ideas about things that need tweaking/changing, please comment here so we can sort it.

 

The only thing I really dislike is the auto ‘correct’ of a few perfectly innocent words – it ceased to be amusing many years ago and confuses the hell out of new members.

And I don’t see the point of ‘new profile posts’.

 

It would be useful if we could attach photos on the private messages in the same way as in the main forum. Thanks

 

@hailfrank i suppose these were 'in jokes' from when this thing started really, so most people won't even know the context. i'll have a root through them and remove some

Thanks, but I'm still puzzled as there is no "upload a File" button which takes me to my photo file on my phone. The picture button needs the photo URL, which is sometimes hard to find in the phone.

 

It works if you use Postimage and copy and paste.

An “upload an image” button in conversations would be dead handy if it’s possible.

 

It's an odd and personal thing isn't it. They used to be slightly amusing for the banter but when you are trying to post or have a sensible conversation they just seem beyond childish and annoying. I guess you can't please all of the people all of the time.
