Fuel hose in a Scooby

Discussion in 'Alternative engine in bus' started by Sick Boy, Sep 9, 2020.

  1. I've got a Legacy 2 litre and I'm going to get the fuel hose completely replaced. Not doing it myself after my petrol shower at TE a few years ago. What is the best hose to get and how much do I need?

  2. Cohline, and about 2 metres should be enough. Order 3 to be safe.

Cohpro.com is where I last bought it from and it was 3 metres

  4. @pkrboo Matt I am about to order 3m of 11.5mm Cohline. It is £40 per meter - is this the right stuff? Thanks

  7. I'm watching this, as far as I was aware on mine the hose between the tank - filter - engine is 12mm perhaps actually 11.5mm but you know what I mean.

  8. Thanks for all your replies. I will check on the correct size before ordering.

  9. the hose size ID for connecting to the fuel rail is approx 8mm (7.3mm), Fellows may use a larger outlet from the tank to the pump, I am not sure what pump fellows use though.

    My setup is:
Tank: 8mm > fuel filter(VW bay window square one) out to fuel pump >11mm> fuel pump out to fuel rail >8mm

  10. learn something everyday. didn't know I'd have a return to the tank, will have to search that out.

  11. Not sure where fellows do the return, but the will be one somewhere
