  4. Hi from sunny Devon.

I've a 74 converted fridge van! I've loads to do before I finally get to the interior but that's the best bit for me being a self builder. There's lots of great info here and some very ingenuous stuff going on.

Welcome from Newcastle. That looks like it’s going to be a great solid van. Good to see new people getting involved. Good luck and happy camping for years to come.

  10. Finally, after nearly 2 years, she is back and looking fine in my opinion. Still a lot to do, but loving the waves, thumbs ups and fantastic comments people give when driving around. Now getting ready for interior fit out so that I can use in anger in the spring.

  11. Just as a further update, I can’t recommend border restoration highly enough. Marc and Michelle did a fantastic job in difficult times and I am so appreciative of their patience and dedication. Top work. Space roof is also amazing, really Impressed with the design and fit. Top work again. Engine is ok, not overly impressed with company that did the work, would have been cheaper to buy new, but it is what it is. Overall I’m so happy. Certainly a labour of love, but I so love her. Can’t wait to get through the winter, where I will be sound deadening and insulating ahead of interior fit out. Thinking of doing a you tube video of the process, so look out for that. Can’t commit to quality production, but will find a way to bodge it somehow………
