My 79 Devon Moonraker

  1. Been let down by the guy that was making my interior, looking for other suppliers but there all so expensive, I may make it myself but it's so time consuming!

    don't you work with any good chippies in your line of work ?
     
  5. Yes mate work with some really good ones but there all to busy! May have or each for the router myself at this rate!
     
  6. Continued with the rebuild, over the last few evenings I have

    Fitted passenger door
    Refitted lock, latch mech and seal to passenger door
    Put dash top back on and vents etc
    Had windscreen and all side and rear windows put in for £50
    Adjusted rear hatch
    Removed rear wheels for new tyres
    Under sealed drivers rear arch and refitted alloy
    Fitted seat tub carpets
    Fitted cab floor and walk through carpets
    Carpeted seat bulkhead things with grey acoustic carpet to match everywhere else
    Refitted drivers and passenger seats
    Fitted phillips day breaker H4 lamps
    Refitted wiper arms
    Fitted new pressed number plate on front
    Remembered why I didn't want another standard size square rear plate as it doesn't fit the engine lid!

    Poptop painted and refit refurbed parts

  9. Sliding door seal fitted, Passenger door refitted and lined up, new seal, handle and latch fitted but all has to come off again due to a crack a appearing in the top :(

    Rear hatch fitted, engine lid and seal fitted

    Brought my little helper down to have a look and she loves it :)
    You can see windscreen refitted and grill put back together and wipers on that was last nights work :)
    New tyres for rear aswell and brushed on some underseal on rear arches to cover overspray.

  10. Hopefully by next weekend it'll be back together, roof back on and then it's time to sort kitchen units out! :)

Tbh with a 3 year old and 1 year old we are not fussed about the camping but the bus is to be used for a wedding at the end of July so it needs to be done for then, we will be camping in it at the wedding then probably some heavy use for days away at the beach to make up for the amount of time out it to get it to this stage.
    Seems like it's been ages since it's been used :(

    William was 3 weeks old on his first camping trip Izzy was 4 months
     
  15. Haven't updated this for a while again!



    Bus now put back together and usable, camped in and running great. Hopefully get away this weekend :)
    Just had a fresh 12 month MOT with no advisories.

    Interior almost finished off, new carpet set in, new glove box liner, 12v socket went in last night, units constructed and fitted and looking great :) just some fiddley bits left, have fitted the new table mount kit, all wired up with 12v and 230v sockets, led lights and split charge and ctek all refitted. Pics to follow :)

  17. Loving your camper. Can I ask a favour? How long is the front cupboard in your van? From the cooker forward. I'm looking at building one myself for mine but can't find that dimension.

  18. Havent updated this thread in a long while, been up to a few bits, mostly little subtle changes here and there, dropped spindles, colour change on the wheels etc, will update soon

  19. so summer 2014, Norman was used as father and bride transport for my sisters wedding, me driving with my daughter as a bridemade riding shotgun :)

  20. Summer 2014

    The camper was just used as was for a bit, it had been so long in the making we just wanted to enjoy, so got out and about, a few local shows and a few minor tweeks,

    started on making up some brackets for my new mud flaps from ebay, but only ever made one side :rolleyes:

    Then come october 2014 time to tuck him up for the winter as we knew we wenrt going to get any use :)
