Sandwich toaster..

Found our new sandwich toaster in storage
Not tried it but wondered if anyone uses one regularly..

What do you cook/toast

 

Toasted sandwiches.

 

Is it one of those where it crimps the bread in a triangle like a samosa . If so ,fill it with peas carrots onion and potato cubes oh and chilly powder .

 

Not strictly true, you put sandwiches in them and then they become toasted sandwiches

 

butter the outside rings a bell ?

 

Ok, toasting sandwiches then....

 

Mind you stick to one set of fillings, you don't want to catch 'Mixin-me-toasties'.

 

Cheese n Onion or ham n cheese

 

Like a samosa...

 

Cheese and baked beans. Go on. You know it makes sense

 

We've had ours for about 20 years. We use it about once every couple of years as it takes two minutes to make a toastie and two hours to clean the little beast!

 

We do use our George Foreman grill, same sort of thing, for toasted sarnies every week.

 

Although let them cool down a bit first....

 

Peanut butter and caviar.
Nice.

 

Brie and mango chutney.

 

Bacon, avo, gruyere and sun-dried tomato.
S'good.

 

Prefer the jaffle style.

Stuff it with baked beans and an egg or chicken, cheese and avo

Chilli on everything

Good practice for the jaffle iron on the fire when camping

 

Autumn number ...blackberries , thinly sliced royal gala apple ...with homemade bramble jelly applied in .
