Just looking at a screen cover , never had one before - this is a cheapo one off eBay - but do they all fit like this around the front doors?

That looks like a bad idea if it rains

I just thought as it covers the door seal it may leak but if they're all like this and no one has issues ... I'll try one

  4. The Mad Matz one's do just that, the bigger problem is they limit the amount a front doors will open.

    Mine hasn't leaked...and I've been in a few downpours.

Back when I first bought my camper, the window scrapers etc were toast and let an enormous amount of rain get down through the door internals - so I bought one of these type covers to protect against this, until I felt the need to mash my fingers completely and replace the scrapers. Worked a treat, and didn't let water in around the door seal either. I still use it for warmth when camping in the spring and autumn, and *crosses fingers* it's never rained hard enough to run in. I think they're worth it.

I had a JustKampers one, it fitted where it touched .... the fancy one with eyes on it that I got from @Barry Haynes fits as snugly as his stirrup.

  9. I have Madmatz Bus Eyes. They fit just like that, are really tough, good quality and don't let the rain in. Also help to make an excellent blackout and look unbearably cute.

Another thumbs up for that style.
We bought ours off @Bertiebot quite a few years ago now.
Plain grey, well made and it tucks over each door. I think it's Madmatz, but can't remember.
Anyway, it's had a lot of use, doesn't leak and is fab for helping keep the condensation off the front screen in cold weather:thumbsup:

I have a similar one with extra in the way of insulation in it. Mine came from Rainbow and I have one for the rear window and one for around the Devon canvas too for camping in extremely cold places. I’ve got me windows insulated too with a cushion style arrangement. All this but still not fitted my propex that has resided in my garage unopened for at least a decade :D
The only issue with these externally fitted ones I’ve had, is that they get wet and take a few hours to dry out which can mean yet another thing to get out to dry in the garage when you’ve packed up in the rain. For this reason alone, it’s worth checking the forecast before you go. But very snug and black out, a bit of extra warmth plus I had mine custom made because of my large style mirrors.

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,, I only use mine if I’m pretty sure it’ll be dry :D

I made one just like this .. took a day but I had to customise for the sun visor. I also added elastic to allow the screen cover to stay on with doors open.
Made mine from breathable waterproof material from Croft Mill.

Doesnt leak despite wrapping round the doors like that.

  16. It was from Bromsgrove Auto Trimmers and a good piece of kit. My family still think our bus is human so we had to get a Bus eyes one which is why the one you have was spare! IMG_1723.jpeg
