I had a few pints with Barry in the early eighties. I was playing in a very multi-racial band i.e. Jamaican/black UK/white UK/India/Anglo-Indian - Barry was thinking about writing a book based on us but I think he got put off because we were so boring. There was no story, no adversity, no misunderstandings, no "racial tension" (whatever that is). It's common now of course, but back then it wasn't so much.

Another one for @Merlin Cat maybe? Spotted at work today, a very nice 1993 Citroen BX estate. Another example of a once ubiquitous car, seen on every street corner, now all but gone. Hard to believe this one's almost 30 years old . I have spoken to the owner in the past and it's fair to say, he does know what he's got, also a suitably eccentric looking gentleman, befitting of a hydraulic Citroen owner . I understand prices have been rising steeply over the last few years, surely a guaranteed future classic, if not already there

 

Theres a dark blue hatchback sat in a farm yard near me. Its been there since the mid 90s apparently (usual case of the owner won't sell) and the suspension is on full drop. Think it'd need lifting out.

 

Its come to the time we're going to have to make a decision we're not looking forward to making.
Holly's got what we believe is canine dementia and has lost 5kg in weight over the past 6 months even though she's eating normally. Vets aren't sure whether she's in pain or not but she'd definately not her self anymore.
She's got some new tablets that the the vets think should make a difference within a couple of days (if they work) and we're gonna spoil her rotten over the weekend and see on Monday what the prognosis is. She's nearly 17 now but is definately showing her age.
