I remember (just about) a weekend in Barnsley with some girls we met in Tenerife. They drank us under the table on the Saturday night, forced a Sunday dinner down us, then insisted we went for drinks in a pub in Dodworth before driving back to Newport..........

 

Actually a pit village called Harley, near the Wentworth Woodhouse estate.

Slow weekend then

That was the weekend of the legendary fight in the Corner Pin between two big lumps and the doormen.

It had already started when we walked in and was still going when we'd waited at the bar and then got drinks. They were knocking lumps out of each other, the floor was shaking, I kid you not!
