  6. Our Silverfish is Big Ann II. BAII was built on 8th Nov 1978 & left the factory on 17th Nov. She was professionally restored between May 2010 & April 2011. The restoration started with a full strip & media blasting & went on from there (7 coats of primer filler, 4 coats of Diamond Silver metallic paint & 4 coats of lacquer). BAII still has her original 2000cc twin-carb engine (now with electronic ignition), but the gearbox has been replaced, as has the wiring loom. The leather front seats are from Newton Commercial. The whole body has been lined with Noisekiller barrier mat. The espresso machine is by Krups & only works when on ‘shore’ power.
Why BAII? Big Ann was Andrew’s aunt (she was the tall one – the short aunt was known as Little Ann) & she left him a legacy, with which he bought Big Ann (a 31’6” Colvic Watson Motor Sailor). Having spent 5 years sailing back from Greece to Plymouth, Big Ann was sold & replaced by Big Ann II.
A question - can I get a stainless steel front plate for BAII? The present painted plastic one acts as a fly magnet & removing the flies, removes the paint....
