Techenders - 6th - 8th May. Who’s coming?

If memory serves me correctly @zedders had some painting stuff for sale with an air fed mask.

 

All gone now though I do have a coalescing filter somewhere ...
Actually... now I think about it I have a GTi pro gun somewhere too, it's the mask that's gone.

You have me on the hop. I expect it needs a clean, check the price etc. If you're in a hurry, might be best to look elsewhere. Otherwise I'll dig it out, see if I can find some thinners to soak it in etc. When I last used it my head was not in a good place...

 

No rush, I've got 10 year's worth of Marmite to clear out of the back of my garage, including getting rid of a freezer big enough to put a dead coo in.

The idea is to buy new safety gear, i.e mask and filter and try a pick up a decent second hand gun and compressor.

 

A lot of people paint with canister masks, you don't "need" air-fed but you do need a mask that covers your entire face including your eyes and a hood to cover the rest of your heed. Air-fed is a PITA for many reasons. If I did it again I'm not sure I'd go down that road again.

 

I've got one, I don't really like it, I suspect it's all a series of compromises. Think I'd feel more comfortable with an air feed.

I agree, just remember you need a heck of a lot of air and it has to be properly filtered, de-oiled and dried to run a mask and a HVLP gun.

It's quite "nice" in an air fed mask - cool breeze - but you still can't see what you're doing.
