Techenders - Date change

Discussion in 'Shows Events You've Missed unless you went' started by Baysearcher, Oct 9, 2022.

  1. If you put your clock back an hour it’s earlier. If you move it forward it’s later so given it’s moved forward a week it’s later. So it’s been moved forward not back!

  2. I thought it was later in May now? its been put back as in its further away now but in the future, is it a bit like back to the future?

I always worked on manning rosters on a big spreadsheet and if something moved later, then, in miltary speak, it was slipped to the right and if it was sooner then it moved to the left.

sooner is brought forward, later is pushed back

As I'm too busy (read lazy) to read all the old threads, what's the biggest job anyone's attempted over a TE weekend?

I for one would be glad to miss seeing us wasting millions to put a metal hat on some old bloke, but I could still miss that in my own time. The all day p*ss up I went to when he got married was epic, though. I ended up in a garden, hammered, while someone put a polecat up the leg of my jeans! I kept very still when it got to the top.

I was traveling from Goodwood to Somerset when they buried his mum, the roads were so quiet. I was able to listen to the silences on the radio, though.

Nothing seems to be out of bounds if it can be done with spanners and the like . Not seen any welding or bodywork or spraying being done ,but anything else is game on . When alist of those going is requested then generally people also state what they plan to do , not necessarily does it get done but its an indication, especially the eating, drinking and listening to music around a firepit , its a great few days

In the past probably top end rebuild was as far into it as anyone thought wise in a field, but anything you can be sure of getting back together to drive home.

Most mechanical jobs have been tackled at Techenders including engine rebuilds.
