    No I am saying stainless HX studs risk DRY Welding to stainless nuts .

    And tinware screws can get wet and suffer WET electrolytic corrosion.

    Two different problems you can cause by using stainless steel.

    I know what you mean ...but it is there i can see it plus the colour of copper .

    Did you get that copper gasket out?

    I searched my stash this morning and found a single "not very used" M8/M8 x 53 exhaust stud so that's me sorted this time.

    Yes ..got it out Steve , it was pig stuck . I heated up a slim screwdriver and put a bend in it so to get the right angle to prise it out without buggering the push rod tubes and lathed down the over sized stud and cut the right thread .
