  2. Hi,

I got a set of the Uber rare brackets and cannot fit them. I’ve only got 1 bolt hole (The lower down one), and where the upper bolt hole should be there is nothing. What do I do next?!?

    Thanks,
    Perrez

  4. Drill a hole and rivi nut?

  5. I’d not riv nut it. It wants a welded captive In my view.

  6. Ok a quick Google suggests an m8 rivnut has a pullout force of 2.2kn that’s about 0.2 tonne.

I’m about 100kg thats 0.1 tonne. A solid hit will likely generate more than 2G of force.
it’s not safe in my view.

  7. It’s not so much the pullout force of the ruvnut itself, more a question of the steel that it’s fixed in to, which is pretty flimsy really.
