Looks great. Its a bit of a come down from the t4 though in terms of size - are you sure the family will fit?
Nice work Hoff. Not sure about the tiny badge, your scoot though. Why not go for a retro front number plate? Or a single spot. Like the Eddie Grimstead dealer specials of the 60s
Lurch third gear will be cruciform needing replacing. Once did one in 20 minutes cos someone bet me I couldn’t on a campsite in France on the way back from a rally in Barcelona. No money… just pride. The guy was Gareth Brown who was the editor of scootering and a number of scooter books. Think there was a pic in scootering but I don’t have it. The engine, however had been spilt previously so it wasn’t difficult. Probably take me a good couple of evenings these days!
The gear selector cables are definitely loose, so I will be adjusting those. I was also thinking cruciform. I had a cruciform blow out on my 150 PGO clone in the late 80’s, resulting in a hard lockup at speed in city traffic. I managed to stay upright but sold it after that. Fear of the cruciform blowing out is what keeps me from riding this one. I was 19 at the time and probably had quicker reflexes and more bendy bones back then. Your project is coming along nicely. Happy trails!
Anyone on original 8 inch rims wanting a 10 inch conversion - I've not seen these before, much easier/cheaper than a hub and back plate swap. https://beedspeed.com/products/whee...MI1pzrw_nT8gIVeIBQBh24GQUOEAQYAiABEgLrdvD_BwE
I love that picture... What we have long suspected has been confirmed, which has been your ability to clone yourself. We are doomed, doomed!
