    Hi,

I was followed today and the told when the bus went round hairpin right turns some spray of oil or fuel came out from 'under the bumper'.

    What might it be?
    Should I worry?

I looked and there was a wet oil Ness from the rocker... I'm thinking it was that.

    Thoughts?

  2. For it to show ??? Has it rained recently ? Is there oil etc sprayed up the back ?

Rocker cover gasket is pinched and letting out oil. Watch your oil level!!!!

Check the bail spring is holding the cover down firmly and straight.

Either clean the rocker covers and use gasket sealant to stick the new gaskets to the covers forcing them to lie flat.
Or get a pair of scissors and reduce the width of the new gasket on the short sides by trimming about 2mm off the outside of each end, until it lies flat by itself in the rocker cover, then you dont need glue..

Recently covered the M4 with oil like that, so could only do the gasket trimming trick. Worked , driven about 500 miles no leaks since.
