Rockin the trolley ...Like it , got a Beefheart ring to it .

 

It's more fun than watching TV. These chaps are good and endlessly imaginative! That one has a bit of everything in it.

 

As time has past since the birth of rock and roll ....styles are past down by each generation (all of which are influenced ) which continually create new sounds and developments to admire .
A classic example of this is Canned Heats Going up the Country ...from the original done by that great black guy Henry Thomas in ...believe it or not 1928 .
There is a lot of good music out there if you search for it , and have great faith in the young generation WHO want to play serious stuff .

 

Ha ha - these guys aren't young, it's us oldies who rock.
I think the youngster is in his 40's, married with kids, computer programmer. As you know, the drummer (me in this case) is no spring chicken! The bass player I think is about my age too. You're never to old to rock and roll. Young people tend to program music rather than learn to play an instrument, unless they are playing metal guitar or bass. Barely any real drummers around these days, it's an inconvenient instrument when software has got so good.

 

My son has is own band as been playing drums on his first two bands .....Now sings in his band now called Primal ( has a website ) check him out .
Been playing live for 5 years now ...got bull shafted in the last year and a half because of covid ..but back on the circuit now. Went to see him playing live down at Camden Town , Felt a right old Blackcurrent ...cockney slang hope the S filters don't pick that up .
In his younger teens he was constantly flicking through my old LP's starting with prog rock , krautrock , punk rock .
Once said to me ...you guys in your teens seemed to have more of a free crazy time than we will ever have .

Didn't answer him fully ....but yes . if you know what i mean Steve .

 

Primal under a Notts band and they will be the ones ...as there seems to be a few with that name .

Regrettably, I am listening to Gary Barlow and Sheridan smith sing a Christmas song... everything that is wrong with the music of today, with added Christmas cringe, crammed into 3 minutes of hell.
