Which engine door latch do I need

  1. I have the same style door as the photo. I just watch to buy a lock/latch for it, but I don't no what style it is. I bought one but it didn't fit. :'(

  4. What year is your van? That looks like the wrong one for a late Bay. Later ones were black.

    Our 77 has a chrome engine lid lock fitted but the tailgate has black??

    My ‘77 has a black lock on the tailgate and on the engine lid.

    I think this is James bus, it's a late lid. EDIT: with a missing lock.:)

  14. Nope!
    VW key does cab doors and slider but not ignition or tailgate. Plain key does ignition and tailgate and will open cab doors too, but not slider.
    Neither of them do the engine lid. The catch works, just stays unlocked all the time.
