  2. Yes 100% I would love to if I could afford it.

But would ensure it could still go back to semi stock(ish) if required

  3. No. I would use my last few miles to run Greta over in the van.

No, EVs are a poor answer to the problem. An EV conversion on an already heavy vehicle is a waste of money. Use your vote wisely.

Green means less shipping, less airfreight and air travel, less concrete.. and cars are a part of it but not the biggest.

    Hydrogen maybe. Electricity no.

  10. I’m on the record saying I would and I still definitely would. As charging infrastructure continues to improve, it’ll get easier and easier. The point to get to is to just ‘know’ that there will be chargers close or at your destination the same way we know today that there’s a forecourt bolted onto a supermarket somewhere near. I’d object to petrol engines being outlawed incidentally.

If you'd said "fuel cell" I'd say yes, but EVs just aren't that green ... In other words, IF I still had one, I'd mothball it until fuel cells were "the new normal"

No, no, no, no, I wouldn't convert my washing machine to run on petrol either. I cannot imagine living in a world without the sound of V12's, v8's flat 6's, inline 4's with dumpy exhausts etc. A neighbour of mine has just bought a Porsche Taycan electric thingy, what's the point, it's silent!! I can't get remotely excited abut an electric car sorry.

.................Rant over, I'll get my coat

  13. Couldn't agree more, battery power is the biggest con around and would be a massive waste of precious materials producing an inferior source of power and most of the materials are in conflict countries create a scrabble to mass mine. Elon Musk green saviour or environmental opportunist? Buys Bitcoin and encourages mass pollution mining the coins that requires extraordinary amounts of power from dirty coal/oil powdered power stations, hydrogen all the way

  14. No. And I don't believe in a ban of gas or diesel engines.
They are alternative fuels, like HVO for diesel cars, that are valuable alternatives to full EV.
Also, more and more voices are rising against a full electrical mobility. I read a recent interview of Bosch' CEO who clearly state a full EV mobility is a wrong way, as today vehicles's emissions are almost negligeable. Bosch is active in EV too.
20% of California EV owners switch back to ICE.
Here in Belgium, a study showed that, as our government will shut down our nuclear powerplant in 2025, to switch to gaz powerplants, electricity production's emissions will increase as we will put 8.000.000 more cars on the road. There is actually 6.000.000 registered cars in Belgium.
They took in account that's for 50% of EV or plug in hybrids registered cars, which will have us to producte 20% more electricity.
I believe we will have exemptions, they did it to allow oldtimers registered cars to be driven in low emission zone, or maybe an annual distance limitation.
EV are great for some purposes, but not a full solution, let alone retrofitting oldtimers.

I would if petrol was no longer available, but I don’t think it’s any better for the planet really.... shipping the limited supplies of lithium from the other side of the world isn’t a great start, and then there’s the small matter of infrastructure... it’s all ***** really innit

  16. Yes if petrol was no longer available but when the time comes hopefully Hydrogen fuel cell conversions will be more widely available & I would go for that over electric.

  20. Problem with Hydrogen is it's quite difficult to keep in one place, it has a habit of escaping.
