hey up para, bet your bus is done and been in use for ages ? Coco not sure it's behind the metal cover now so I don't ever see it.
Afraid not dude I've moved house again and I've been working on the house The vans been moving along a little bit at a time and I'm hoping to have it motd by spring
Life takes over and re-prioritises for you. I have set completion goals for two years and failed, so now I think one job at a time, and it will happen as a by product.
hi Mark, all good here, I hope you are well, I'm afraid motorbikes took over my life last year so the rebuild well and truly stalled. I have loads of biker mates but no Vdubb mates. So it's all down to me. That said I feel ready to push to complete hence the new posts.
All swell here thanks mate! Enjoying using Gusbus, getting out and about. I've been helping my Dad restore his old BSA 650, something different I am tempted with another project though!
Yeah it hopefully will be; the Westy needs some tlc but we're moving our work office up to Sheffield, it scuppered my plan temporarily!
I know you think I have gone quite again, but I am working hard on the engine, I stripped the top end to find some issues. I was lead to believe that the engine was untouched from new. But the cylinder heads are 914 sodium filled valves. And they look a little ruff and been leaking in the usual places. So cleaning is the order of the day, and lapping. This is now complete and the rebuilding can commence over the Christmas period.
You lot are always encouraging, thank you. Well all I have done is clean oil, crap and carbon from the block cyclinder heads and barrels. I am hoping to start the engine rebuild tomorrow.
barrels lapped. Block clean enough for assembly, im just waiting on the 3H permatex to arrive, and i can complete assembly.
